Library News Week Beginning 27th of November (18)

JCSP Science Fair

As we had not celebrated Science Week because of our house exams, we decided to hold an event this week in the Library.

Ms O'Keefe worked with her 2nd year Science class to prepare lots of interesting experiments to show to visiting primary schools. Two 5th classes groups from Central Model visited on Thursday and we have invited other schools to visit in January. Our students worked really hard and and explained each of their experiments very well. They looked very professional in their lab coats and took full ownership of the event.

On Wednesday Larkin Library hosted over 40 teachers from other CDETB schools around Dublin.

The keynote address by Dr Finn Ó Murchú took place in the Library as did some of the workshops. Ms Nolan was busy teaching teachers about the different technologies and other methods which she uses to make her classes more interesting and interactive for students so that everyone enjoys the learning experience.
