Another busy week for the Larkin basketball teams who's hard work training after school is paying off! Keep up the great effort everyone!

U19 Boys

Our senior boys basketball team have qualified for the regional quarter final in their first year in schools B basketball. The lads have worked hard all year and deserved the hard earned 45-32 victory over Castleknock Community College. Every player gave their all in a game that was nip and tuck right up until the final 4 minutes when Larkin eventually pulled away with a 14-2 run. Jiahui Ren was in sensational form in the post picking off 21 points as well as many blocks on defence in an MVP performance. Thomas Murphy showed composure, class and experience on offence setting up numerous attacks while holding strong on defence. John Lamoste ran his legs off as the full court outlet and terrorised the Castleknock offence with numerous defensive blocks. Andrzej Bobko was outstanding on defence in the second half when tasked with marshalling Castleknock's danger man while also adding big scores on the other end. Jiahuang Ren worked hard throughout scoring some vital points including a much needed long range 3. Honiss Shamloll contributed significantly on the defensive end picking up numerous rebounds and Paul Heffernen staked a claim for a starting place with a tough defensive efffort when introduced.
