18th October
Our senior girls basketball team turned in another impressive performance in a 32-18 victory over Alexandra College. The girls flew out of the blocks with Julia and Rose adding some fine baskets including two superb three points from Julia. The girls held on to take victory and head in to Monday’s clash with Mount Anville in high spirits. A win there will see them qualify for the Leinster quarter final as group winners. Well done girls.
Our under 19 development squad finished off their season with a tough loss to Sutton Park. The girls had a great season with plenty of fun and laughter. Always a pleasure to see them in action. Thanks to Amran Maxamad who took over the coaching duties for the team this morning
17th October
Our under 16 and 19 boys both recorded impressive victories over Ard Scoil Ris. The under 16s gave an exhibition in shooting with Declan, Kurt and Luke all hitting massive 3s. Well done to Valentine and shanenwaz who made their debut for the school in the under 19 game. Great performance from Andrei, Mark and Gio.
Another busy day of basketball began with action in the under 19 girls D league. Our development girls put up a strong performance in losing by 3 to the Donahies. Katrina marakova, samsara Salinga and Madison rafferty all played extremely well in a fine team performance.
16th October
It was another mixed day for our boys basketball teams against St Paul’s Raheny as our under 16s took the win on 31-29 scoreline while our seniors lost 42-30 in two entertaining contests. The lads are out again tomorrow in a quick turnaround against Ard Scoil Ris. Our juniors to be at the hall at 1.30 and our seniors at 2.30.
