Under16 Girls
Larkin V St. Michaels Finglas
Well done to our under 16 and 19 girls who both recorded fine victories in their Leinster league games against St Michaels Finglas. The girls now both sit top of the league undefeated and are one win away for the Leinster Quarter Finals.
Larkin V Presentation College, Athenry
Another great performance from our under 16 girls basketball team has seen us advance to the All Ireland Schools Cup Quarter Final. The girls started slowly against an enthusiastic Presentation Athenry who showed no ill effects from the journey to limit our girls to only 4 points in the first quarter. Alicia Jadia moved to the point and her eye for detail and passing skills set Rose Mesquita and Amran Maxamad on their way to a dominant second quarter performance. Jadia also added 8 points to her many assists. Mesquita was full of energy and endeavour throughout and finished the game with 10 points. Maxamad gave her all leading by example throughout and ensuring she finished with 10 points on the board. The introduction of Sunna Begum in the second quarter led to a change in intensity and she also added a basket. Tatiana Orlov worked tirelessly as ever picking up numerous rebounds on both ends of the floor. Joanne Bambe added much need presence on the inside and added 4 points to the
board. Diane Hrivsceau, Gizelle Roldan and Daria Stasiak all added to the performance when introduced. Best wishes to the superb Suvd Ulambayor who picked up an unfortunate knee injury today.. Well done girls.
