Week 11 - Awesome Walls
Students were back at Awesome Walls this week to escape the rain!! They got to practice their climbing and bouldering skills! Well done guys!
Week 10 - Dublin Way
Ty students were working on their bush craft skills this week! Hot tea after a walk along the Wicklow Way. Beautiful Clear Day Out!
Week 9 - Awesome Walls
Awesome TY students started on their level 1 indoor climbing award at NICAS at Awesome Walls this week!
Week 8 - Sugar loaf
TY Outdor students reached the summit of the Sugar Loaf today. Plenty of great views, fresh air and a few slips and slides along the way.
Week 7- Sailing Blessington Lake
Blessington for sailing today. Just enough wind to get us going. Thanks to Chloe for the hot chocolate and to Colaiste Eoin for the pictures of us out on the water!
Week 6 - Dublin Way Meets Wicklow Way
A good day out putting our navigation skills into practice. From Glencree Valley to Fairy Castle! The Dublin Way meets the Wicklow Way!
Week 5 - Tymon Park
A fun day out with TY Outdoor Ed in Tymon Park discovering orienteering! We learnt how to orientate a map and how to navigate back to the bus! Well done to you all!
Week 4 - Glendalough
TYs left a wet & windy Dublin and headed to a bright & sunny Glendalough this morning! 576 steps to the top&apparently “the wind at the top would knock you out. Frankie thought I was going to be blown off the side.” Let’s hope the view was worth the hike!
Week 3 - Bullock Harbour
TY students had perfect conditions for coasteering at Bullock Harbour in Dalkey on Tuesday!Light winds and high tide! Some super swimming and jumping! Well done to everyone but especially to those students who overcame their fear of heights and water by taking part!
Week 2 - Blessington Lakes
A beautiful day was had out kayaking in Blessington Lake on Tuesday.
Chloe Fitzgerald from 401 told us the best part of her day was paddling through the challenges and getting to swim at the end of it!!! The worst part of the day was falling out of the kayak!!! I think we can all relate Chloe!! Well done!!! Look like a great day!!!
Week 1 - Howth
Lovely start to the day as our TY students began their Outdoor Pursuits module. Blue skies and great views from the Howth Head walk! Catching views of the tall ships sailing out to sea! Such a beautiful day to get out and about and discover all that Dublin has to offer!
