Emmet Kirwan Visits Larkin Community College for Fishamble’s Who Am I? How Am I? Project

We were delighted to welcome actor and writer Emmet Kirwan as part of Fishamble’s Who Am I? / How Am I? project.

Following his powerful performance of The Leap, students had the opportunity to take part in a Fireside Chat with Emmet, discussing his work, his experiences as a working class artist and his creative process. The session also featured a special live performance of a segment from Accents by Emmet and musician Eoin French, which was a highlight for everyone in attendance.

The conversation was beautifully captured through live graphic harvesting by Fiona O’Neill from Create Ireland, providing a creative visual record of the event.

We were also honoured to welcome a delegation of community safety workers from Norway, who visited to learn about our restorative practice approach to teaching and its role in fostering cultural integration and dialogue. Local politician Maria Sherlock also joined us, alongside several funders, supporters and local artists.

A huge well done to second years Edward and April, who led the interview with Emmet and to all our students for contributing to such an inspiring and restorative learning experience.
