Congratulations to Hayden Cassidy who has received the 2026 Spirit of Larkin Award.

Hayden has been a fantastic representative for his school and wider community during his time here at Larkin Community College. His initiative, drive and vision to set up a running club and create a positive outlet for his peers in an area where many in his age group can fall prey to anti social behaviour is beyond admirable.

Hayden has been a key individual in numerous localise projects and is the poster boy for Darkness into light. Hayden has always rooted for the underdog and has a great emotional intelligence. Although Hayden has had his own personal struggles and set backs throughout his time in Larkin he has always dealt with them with an innate inner strength and dignity. He has shown kindness and respect to his teachers throughout his journey in Larkin and is an example of an exemplary LCA student. Keep being the caring, emotional fish you are Hayden. You will go on to do amazing things within the inner city community and you are a very worthy and deserving winner of this award.
