School Spirit 2025 Winner Robert Bucur

Congratulations to Robert Bucur who won Spirit of Larkin 2025 at our awards day!

Robert has been a hugely integral part of Larkin Community College since his arrival. He has consistently shown enthusiasm for getting involved in whole-school activities and has volunteered across a wide range of areas. 

Robert has an incredible talent for filmmaking and it is through his exceptional filmmaking, that he has been able to document school events and bring student stories to life, capturing the heart and spirit of our community with creativity and passion. 

He has what people call ‘the eye,’ whereby he can see clearly his artistic vision and can execute it with ease. And we’re not being biased here, some of his content for the school has been viewed over 1 million times! Robert has helped market this school on a level not seen before. 

He is also the ultimate event manager and has created a strong team of all ages who rally round and help bring the vision to life- Robert has helped them also embody the spirit of Larkin – shout out to you all! The legacy lives on. 

Beyond Robert’s artistic talents, he is known for his kindness, always offering support to peers and staff alike, and going out of his way to uplift others. His generosity, positivity and commitment truly embody the spirit of our school. 

He is humble and generous with his time. What people sometimes don’t realise, is that a 3-4 min clip can sometimes take hours to edit and this student has given up their time, for no personal gain. A selfless act – done through passion and kindness. 

Robert hopes to pursue a career in aviation next year and we hope he flies high.
