Congratulations to Molly Byrne our 2025 Student of the Year.
Molly Byrne has consistently been a ray of light throughout her six years at Larkin. She oozes charisma and her personable nature makes her a perfect candidate for this award. Her positivity is infectious making her popular amongst both peers and staff. She has an infectious laugh and it’s rare to see her without a smile. Molly is such a kind and considerate student who is always humble, despite her many successes and never complains. She embodies the Ethos of Larkin with her kindness and can do attitude, she is undoubtedly an all-rounder, a team player and a student who has poured her entire heart and soul into her school experience. Molly has been such an ambassador for Larkin and has represented the school on so many levels, It’s been so lovely to watch her journey here and see her flourish and grow into the confident, self-assured young woman she is today.
Not only does Molly embody the Ethos of Larkin, she also has proven to be a star pupil academically over the years exhibiting dedication to all her chosen subjects and has been consistent in her efforts in school and her academics from 1st to 6th year. She will always participate and engage in class, even if no other student in the room is. A star student. Her work ethic which has always been focused and her ambition has always been admirable. Although ambitious, Molly never comes across as ‘too much’ or overbearing – a mean feat!
Ultimately, the Arts is where Molly truly shone. Her contribution to this area of extra-curricular has been nothing short of remarkable. The ultimate Arts student, the first in and last out of rehearsals, a leader who served to motivate and inspire her younger co - stars throughout her time on her programme. Molly comes to life on stage – it is clear she has found her true passion in acting and her starring roles in and outside of school are testament to her drive and undeniable talent. Molly hopes to pursue a career in artistic performance and with her talent, quiet determination and grit, we know she will undoubtedly achieve her goal! Please remember us in your Oscar speech Molly.
