TY Outdoor Education Trip to Newgrange

Transition Year students took part in an outdoor education trip to Newgrange as part of their TY programme. The trip gave students an opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy exploring one of Ireland’s most well known landmarks.

Students participated in a guided walk around the Newgrange site, taking in the surrounding landscape while learning about the importance of respecting and preserving natural and heritage environments.

The trip also promoted teamwork and wellbeing, all key elements of the TY Outdoor Education module. Students embraced the opportunity to step away from the classroom and engage with learning in an active and enjoyable way despite the rain!
